In 2 days, my girlfriend and I will be attending the I/ITSEC 2017 event in Orlando, FL. It’s billed as the largest modeling, simulation and training event in the world. This is where the pros come together to demo their professional products to military, police and commercial training facilities. Besides CES, it’s the best new technology show I’ve ever attended. Everything at the show is hand-on and attendees are encouraged to explore and test the simulators. It’s certainly not limited to flight simulators, much of it is tactical weapons training sims and medical response simulations with life-like accident victims, surgical sims and much more.
The last time I attended, I got to try helicopter simulators, built around actual helicopters, an F-14, tried a police training simulator, shot machine guns and anti-tank weapons, all using the real, physical devices (guns). It was awesome and I can’t wait to do it all over again and get some great inspiration from them. This is the ultimate show for anyone who loves this kind of stuff.
